Hanon Systems completes 25 years of partnership with Maruti Suzuki

Hanon Climate Systems India, a subsidiary of global automotive supplier Hanon Systems, that has been making thermal systems for domestic carmakers has completed 25 years of operation at its Bhiwadi plant in Rajasthan, India.

The company was formed in 1993 as Climate Systems India, a joint venture with Maruti Suzuki, which remains its largest customer and joint venture partner. The operation in Bhiwadi has become one of the largest manufacturers of radiators, intercoolers, engine cooling modules, condensers and exhaust gas recirculation coolers in India. An ISO 140001 and IATF 16949 certified operation, Hanon Climate Systems India claims to produce two million heat exchangers annually including radiators, condensers and charge air coolers.

The company is said to have won numerous awards during its two- and-a-half-decade journey. It has won the Maruti Suzuki Overall Excellence Award twice; various customer and industry quality awards; an environment-friendly company award from the Rajasthan government; and the prestigious HR excellence award from ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India). It also is the second company in India to win the coveted Shingo Silver Medallion for Operational Excellence.

Hanon Systems currently operates four plants in India – Chennai, Bhiwadi, Sanand and Pune – and its solutions can be found in some of the best selling cars and SUVs in India.
