Gulf Oil Lubricants India, a Hinduja Group company, has signed an exclusive partnership with Altigreen for supply of EV Fluids like brake and gear oils. As a result of this tie-up, Gulf Oil will manufacture customised EV fluids for commercial electric vehicle maker Altigreen.
Altigreen, a start-up which is backed by Sixth Sense, Xponentia and Reliance, manufactures electric three-wheelers. It has over 1,000 electric three-wheelers plying on Indian roads and catering to the last-mile mobility segment.
The tie-up gives Altigreen direct access to the R&D capabilities of Gulf Oil India for building a complete portfolio of vehicle fluids optimised for EV needs. The first product – AGP Gear Oil – is to be available at Altigreen sales and service channels soon. This and other specially formulated Gulf EV Fluids will now power Altigreen’s low deck and high deck cargo electric vehicles.
Gulf introduced its wide range of EV fluids in September of last year, offering specially formulated products like Gulf Formula Hybrid for EVs and hybrid vehicles, Gulf eLEC Coolant, Gulf eLEC Driveline Fluid, and Gulf eLEC Brake Fluid.
The strategic agreement was signed between Ravi Chawla, MD and CEO, Gulf Oil India, and Dr Amitabh Saran, co-founder and CEO, Altigreen in Bengaluru on December 23.
Gulf Oil introduced its range of EV fluids in October 2021, offering specially formulated products like Gulf Formula Hybrid for EVs and hybrid vehicles, Gulf eLEC Coolant, Gulf eLEC Driveline Fluid, and Gulf eLEC Brake Fluid.
