Goodyear collaborates with Skechers for customised shoe outsoles

It’s a collaboration of different sort by global tyre major, The Goodyear Rubber & Tire Company. Global footwear company, Skechers will utilise Goodyear rubber technology in customising Skechers outsoles that will deliver increased grip, stability and durability.  Select styles across multiple categories for men, women and kids will feature this.  

The collection featuring Goodyear Performance Outsoles now includes a wider assortment of running and walking sneakers and will expand through 2020 to athletic lifestyle, trail, and work footwear categories for men and women, as well as kids’ styles.

The shoes, featuring Goodyear Performance Outsoles, are designed for durability with long-lasting wear, excellent grip on a variety of surfaces and weather conditions and enhanced stability through exceptional traction. This is made possible with Goodyear-developed rubber technology that contains a special polymer including sustainable soybean oil—a renewable, bio based material used in some of the company’s top-performing tyres (available in the US and Canada).

Skechers styles featuring Goodyear Performance Outsoles are available at Skechers retail stores and online. The products available with the Goodyear rubber are in India include Gorun Ride 8, Gorun Pure 2 and Gorun speed Trail Hyper.

Earlier, a similar collaboration was seen between Continental and Adidas. The Adidas SL 20 range of shoes known for ensuring good transition for runners sports a continental-stretch web outsole. The continental rubber guarantees good traction ona  range of surfaces.
