The global electric car market recorded another year of growth in 2019. An estimated 2.1 million electric cars were sold during the year, according to Swiss EV charging infrastructure supplier Virta. Along with the EV industry, the global charging network is also expanding. The network grew from 2.1 million chargers in 2018 to 7.3 million chargers last year.
