The Gurgaon-based power and energy solution provider Exicom Tele-Systems has today announced that it has become the won the second bid for supplying 2,000 EV chargers to Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for its procurement program. The chargers will be deployed at different locations in the country, which include 1,800 numbers of 3.3 kW AC chargers and 200 15kW DC fast chargers.
According to Exicom, these chargers will be used to charge the Tata Tigor and Mahindra e-Verito cars that have been procured by EESL under its EV procurement policy. It states the chargers are fully compliant with the Bharat AC and DC specifications released by the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) earlier this year. These charging stations will allow consumers to pay using multiple options that include debit/credit cards, BHIM as well as UPI.

Commenting on the Anant Nahata, managing director, Exicom said, "We are excited to participate in this project and support the ambitious plan of Indian Government and NITI Aayog to push Electric vehicles. We thank EESL for their efforts in consolidating this market and providing necessary impetus to the industry. This will also drive down costs and carbon emissions. Such initiatives will create local manufacturing facilities and grow technical competencies for the long-term growth of the EV industry in India”.
On January 4, 2018 the company announced the installation of 125 EV chargers in the Delhi-NCR region for EESL.
Exicom states it has already been empanelled by leading automobile manufacturers in India and is actively working to collaborate with both public and private organisations. It’s current product offering include EV charging solutions for home and public charging for 2W, 3W, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles, along with it's mobility division capable to provide li-ion battery and charging infrastructure solutions for EV applications.
