ETO Motors deploys 50 three-wheelers in India’s first EV city

ETO Motors has put over 50 electric three-wheelers into operation in Kevadia, which is India’s sole EV-only city. Kevadia is home to the world’s tallest statue – the Statue of Unity – of India’s first deputy prime minister and home minister Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

ETO's move to use e-three-wheelers is in partnership with The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA). The company plans to deploy over 350 more EVs in the next four to six months.

The entire fleet of the 50 TriLux electric three-wheelers is operated by women and will cover all of Kevadia.  ETO deployed its L5 Electric Passenger Three Wheelers called Trilux in Kevadia. The Trilux has a range of 138km per charge, has a safety belt for both passengers and driver, ergonomically adjustable driver seat, rear crash guard, 13-inch wheels and a sturdy suspension.

N K Rawal, managing director and CEO of ETO Motors said, “We are delighted to contribute towards making Kevadia, India’s first electric vehicle city, apart from the several other projects where our EVs have been deployed in the form of passenger and logistics mobility solutions across the country. We are also happy to collaborate with the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) in giving wings to this vision by our Prime Minister.”

ETO Motors is in the process of executing several electric mobility projects space by deploying over 1,000 EVs in various Metro stations in the National Capital Region, apart from being empanelled by BSES and Tata Power DDL to set up the charging infrastructure network in the NCT area. The Electronic City metro station in Noida would also serve as a charging hub for vehicles, which is a part of the 3000 MW of EV charging infrastructure that ETO has already set up across different locations in the country.
