Essel Infra diversifies into EV charging business

The company says it will invest Rs 1,750 crore in phased manner and will setup 250 charging stations and 1,000 battery swapping stations in 20 cities in Uttar Pradesh.

Essel Infraprojects (EIL), part of the Subhash Chandra led-Essel Group, today announced its foray in electric vehicle charging and battery swapping infrastructure initiative under Essel Green Mobility. The company says it will invest Rs 1,750 crore in phased manner and will setup 250 charging stations and 1,000 battery swapping stations in 20 cities in Uttar Pradesh.
