Expanding aggressively, the Faridabad-based Elofic Industries plans to touch the Rs 500 crore turnover mark by 2017. The bullish company also plans to set up a new plant and has finalised the location in Gujarat, given the state's impressive business and infrastructure environment. Diversifying into the lubricants business, the automotive filter manufacturing company has in recent years inaugurated its own in-house oil blending unit in Faridabad. The company currently also markets long-life engine coolants and silicon gaskets for engines. While the firm has been exporting two-wheeler filters to the American and European markets – primarily to Honda and Suzuki – it has recently ventured into the domestic market.
Elofic Industries sells a wide range of filter elements, plastic moulded air filters and foam filters for all two-wheeler applications in the aftermarket. Elofic plans to build a strong network of 100 distributors for further penetration into the market, going forward. Anticipating an increase in infrastructure-related demand, the company has recently added filters for applications in the earthmoving segment to its existing product portfolio. The company has five modern automotive filter manufacturing facilities, of which three are in Faridabad (Haryana), one each in Hosur (Tamil Nadu) and Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh
