Eaton inaugurates new Services Centre in Pune
Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation inaugurated its Professional Services Center at Kharadi, Pune, on March 11.
Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation inaugurated its Professional Services Center at Kharadi, Pune, on March 11.
Located at the EON Free Zone, the facility was officially opened by Alexander M Cutler, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer. The centre will include engineering support, research, product development, financial shared services and other information technology-enabled services.
"We're pleased to be located at this state-of-the-art facility at EON," Cutler said. "Eaton has become a global power management company, focused on the efficient and growing use of electrical, fluid and mechanical power This location emphasises our commitment to India and and to providing leading-edge products and services to our customers."
This new facility of Eaton will house an estimated 1,300 employees by 2010.
"Both Eaton and India are growing at a rapid pace," said Shyam Kambeyanda, managing director, Eaton India. "This world-class facility provides an efficient, productive environment for the continuing growth of our organisation — and especially our people."
Since its inception in 2003, the engineering centre at the Pune campus has grown in scope and size to more than 400 employees with an initial focus on the Fluid Power business.
In recent years, Eaton further expanded the scope of the professional centre to include global professional services. The team now performs a full range of high-end engineering and development work
for all of Eaton's business segments.
It has become an integral part of Eaton's global engineering workforce, emerging as a major product engineering, design and development centre for Eaton's global customers.
