Travelling is set to get a tad easier with EasyCabs, a radio taxi service operated by Carzonrent, tying up with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). At present, the service will be available in Delhi and NCR but in the coming months the service would be extended to other cities as well.
Customers can now book an EasyCab on the IRCTC website at the time of the train reservation. A registered radio taxi, EasyCabs complies with government rules and can be centrally tracked through GPS. The advantage of hiring an Easy Cab is that the traveller, after a long train journey, will not have to queue up to get a cab after disembarking from the train.
Rajiv Vij, MD and CEO, Carzonrent, said, “This partnership further bolsters our commitment to provide safe and reliable mobility solutions, keeping the customer at the centre. With this partnership, we provide yet another platform that will make travel completely hassle-free for our customers.”
Carzonrent (India) with a fleet size of 10,000 cars, ranging from the Maruti Dzire to the Toyota Camry and Mercedes-Benz, has a range of services including radio taxis (EasyCabs), self-drive (Myles), intra-city, outstation and limousine.
