Captronic Systems eyes growing infotainment business in India
Captronic Systems, which focuses on automotive, aerospace, power, electronics manufacturing, ceramics, medical and others, is the sole platinum alliance partner to National instruments (NI) in India.
Captronic Systems, a Bangalore-based Rs 53 crore company, which works in the area of system integration, is optimistic of capitalising on the growing demand and investments in the in-car infotainment domain.
Mukesh AM, head – strategic business unit, Captronic Systems told Autocar Professional, “I see areas such as infotainment and ECU testing as the ones a lot of OEMs are focussing upon currently. These areas are expected to draw substantial investments from the OEMs and the Tier 1 suppliers as the technologies are all set to evolve.”
Captronic Systems, which focuses on automotive, aerospace, power, electronics manufacturing, ceramics, medical and others, is the sole platinum alliance partner to National instruments (NI) in India which is known to have only 12 such partners globally with only two in Asia.
“We build all the IPs on NI devices as standard and we are purely into system integration. We have built an instrument cluster testing setup, which performs almost 120 different tests in 45 seconds,” revealed Mukesh.
The specialised design and development solutions company uses NI devices to build its own software and aggregates to set up a system for testing and simulating the infotainment modules. According to Mukesh, the teams offer a range of sophisticated forms of custom automated test, control and acquisition systems for R&D, design validation and production testing. Some of its prominent products include an in-vehicle data logger, instrument cluster tester, infotainment tester, sound anf vibration analyser, and many others.
The company, which has team strength of around 130 people and is looking for 20 percent growth YoY, works with Ford, Visteon, Pricol, Johnson Controls, Continental, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Renault-Nissan among others.
