Bangalore-based EV start-up Bounce has launched its first electric scooter the Infinity E1 at Rs prices starting at Rs 45,099. Interestingly, the Bounce Infinity E1 is re-badged 22Kymco i-Flow, as the Bangalore-based company had bought out 22Kymco's operations. The e-scooter can be booked for Rs 499 and will be available with a battery and a ‘Battery as a Service’ option.
Customers can either buy the scooter with the battery and the charger or even avail the battery pack on a rental basis. The Infinity E1 is priced at Rs 68,999 with the battery and charger, while it costs Rs 45,099 without the battery, (prices ex-showroom Delhi).
It maybe recollected that on November 27, Bounce announced its partnership with Park+ to set-up battery swapping station across 3,500 locations. The company plans to have many more such set-ups across India. It is aiming to have a large and dense battery-swapping platform with a swapping facility at every 1km distance. The company claims this will bring down running costs of the scooter by as much as 40 percent as compared to conventional scooters.
The e-scooter is powered by a 2 kWhr lithium-ion battery pack that provides a certified range of 85km per charge; torque output at 83Nm. Bounce claims the Infinity E1 can accelerate from 0 to 40kph in 8 seconds and has a top-speed of 65kph.
The battery pack can be topped up in about 4-5 hours by connecting to any regular electric socket. The scooter also comes with two riding modes – Power mode and Eco mode. In terms of underpinnings, the Infinity E1 is built on a tubular frame and features hydraulic telescopic front suspension and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It also gets disc brakes at both ends with EBS and also gets regenerative braking technology. The e2W will be available with a choice of five colours in either glossy or matte finish - Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver and Comed Grey.

As for its features, the Bounce gets a digital instrument cluster, a reverse mode, cruise control and tow alert. It also gets a drag mode that allows the scooter to move along at walking speed in case it has a puncture and you want to push it along. Bounce has also provided a smart app with the Infinity E1 that can be connected via Bluetooth and used for geofencing, track the scooter remotely, check charging status and more.
