Bohra Rubber Pvt Ltd (BRPL) and Hiroshima Kasei Ltd (HKL) Japan have entered into a technical collaboration for the manufacture of automotive cabin sealing systems. HKL will support BRPL in the design, development and execution of dynamic sealing solutions for the automotive industry.
As per the company’s statement, HKL is a preferred supplier of automotive cabin sealing systems for Japanese car manufacturers like Mitsubushi Corp, Daihatsu and Nissan with components also supplied to Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha, among other automotive companies.
Commenting on the tie-up, TomohiroTamaru (director, Industrial Materials Division), HKL, said, “We are pleased to be present in India in collaboration with Bohra Rubber to serve one of the fastest growing automotive markets in the world. It adds to our presence in South Korea, USA, China, Thailand and Indonesia and further expands our strong global footprint. This alliance allows us to bring our state-of-the-art patented technologies like APS to the demanding India customer.”
Bohra Rubber’s main plant is at Faridabad and has Just-In=Time warehouses in Chennai and Dharwad.
“We will use our relationship with Hiroshima Kasei to jointly target Japanese OEMs in India. At present we are targeting business with Honda, Nissan, Maruti and VE Commercial Vehicles and the initial response has been encouraging for us. In the near future we plan to set up a second facility closer to the customers with the mother plant at Faridabad,” said Shailendra Bohra, director (Marketing & International Trade), Bohra Rubber.
