The Automotive Engineering Show (AES) which has, till now, been held in Pune and Chennai, is set to make a presence in north India with an aim to tap the high-potential NCR automotive cluster.

The organisers, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India have announced that the Automotive Engineering Show will make its debut in New Delhi in March 2017 alongside the ACMA Automechanika New Delhi trade fair, which is scheduled to take place from March 21-23 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

In its introductory edition, the Automotive Engineering Show will present a combination of user workshops, a series of conference sessions and a compact exhibition area of automotive manufacturing solutions.

While the co-located ACMA Automechanika New Delhi will extensively cover the automotive aftermarket through its six product categories of Parts & Components, Electronics & Systems, Accessories & Customizing, Repair & Maintenance, Management and Digital Solutions and Car Wash, Care & Reconditioning, the Automotive Engineering Show will showcase technologies for automotive design, development, planning, quality control, paint and finishing, plant equipment and systems by leading technology players.

One-stop business shop
Together, the platform will become the centre of business for automobile manufacturers and auto component and aftermarket players to collaborate and exchange technical know-how over three days.

Alongside the exhibition area, a specialised conference will enable technology experts to discuss the most relevant aspects of technology convergence in automotive plants. With technology convergence redefining the shopfloor, the exhibition will also host an exclusive workshop on industry 4.0 in association with the Automotive Skill Development Corporation.

Another industry-relevant topic to be taken up at the debut edition of Automotive Engineering Show is ‘Surface technology‘ which is playing a crucial role in enabling the design and manufacturing of engineered components with enhanced performance. The workshop has been planned in association with the Society of Surface and Protective Coatings and aims to cover surface degradation and modification processes along with the recent developments and improvements in surface technology that help reduce maintenance and replacement costs and enhance performance.
