From the assembly line to the car’s cockpit to the dealerships, it is all a connected ecosystem across the automotive industry.
The cover story is on L&T Technology Services, which has upped the ante on vehicle telematics – it is working on a real-time 3D navigation for its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and autonomous drive solutions based on 5G technology. US-based Aeris Communications claims to offer a seamless experience to users with its ‘Aeris Mobility Suite’ based on Internet of Things. This technology pack allows OEMs to quickly deploy new connected vehicle applications.
Electric two-wheeler maker, Ather Energy is introducing a brand new dynamic with its Over-The-Air updates every quarter. In a bid to keep users engaged, the company is working aggressively towards monthly update.
Pure-play automotive cockpit electronics supplier Visteon is pushing for cutting-edge user experience. It aims to create consumer-centric experiences in the dynamic and ever evolving technology space.
Bosch is betting big on Internet of Things as well. As the Covid-crisis reveals connectivity chinks in the manufacturing and logistics segments, the technology and component supplier is looking at ways to make them more flexible to disruptions.

Automotive retailing is one space where technology is making a definitive in-roads. Gurgaon-based dealer management system provider, Orbitsys Technologies sees opportunities opening up in multi-brand car dealerships.
Maruti Suzuki India meanwhile launches a distinctive loyalty program – Maruti Suzuki Rewards. A first of its kind offering by Maruti, it will cover all passenger vehicle customers.
