Skoda Auto India and Nissan Motor India have joined the bandwagon of auto OEMs to hike prices of their entire model range from January 2016.
Skoda today announced that the carmaker will increase from 2-3 percent across the entire product portfolio from January 01, 2016.
Also following suit was Nissan as all Nissan and Datsun models in the country will see a price hike of upto 3 percent from January 2016.
The above-mentioned hikes were preceded by revisions from Maruti Suzuki, which is set to increase Rs 20,000 across its models from January 2016; Hyundai Motor India, announcing a hike of Rs 30,000 across its range and Toyota Kirloskar Motors, whose entire model range will see revised prices of upto 3 percent.
The common ground for the hike cited by all automakers was increase in input costs and following the industry trend.
