Auto Expo 2014: Federal-Mogul showcases latest aftermarket, OE powertrain products
Federal-Mogul Corporation is showcasing its wide range of technology products at the Components Show at its Pragati Maidan (Hall 2-5/Stall 5.4).
Federal-Mogul Corporation is showcasing its wide range of technology products at the Components Show at its Pragati Maidan (Hall 2-5/Stall 5.4).
The highlight of its aftermarket products is the launch of the expanded range of Ferodo HCV linings made from non-asbestos material. The company says special formulations have been developed at its global R&D facilities to cater to Indian conditions. These CV linings are currently manufactured at the new state- of- the- art greenfield facility in Chennai .
Sanjeev Singh, director, Aftermarket, Vehicle Components Segment Group at Federal-Mogul Corporation, said: “Federal-Mogul’s aftermarket group has undergone some significant changes in the past year. With the launch of Ferodo CV linings in India, we have successfully made our entry into the aftermarket friction business and received a great response. We are very happy to exhibit the enhanced portfolio of Ferodo HCV Linings at this year’s Expo and we will continue to work towards providing customer and market- centric innovations.“
Some other products under the aftermarket portfolio include the latest range of Ferodo brake pads for luxury cars in a new packaging plus product lines namely Goetze pistons, rings and liners, Glyco engine bearings, Champion spark plugs and wiper blades, and GTP steel rings.
Federal-Mogul’s powertrain exhibit comprises its complete range of advanced offerings available in the Indian market. Pistons and rings featuring optimized gallery locations, advanced coatings and alloy developments to maximize cooling, strength and durability. Valve seats and guides comprising metal solutions that provide fuel efficiency, scuff resistance and machineability are exhibited. Federal-Mogul’s spark plugs designed with highly engineered ignition solutions made for combustion engines are also showcased.
Other highlights include lead-free and eco-friendly bearings for performance enhancement in highly-loaded engines; sealings and gaskets that enable emissions control and CO2 reduction; system protection solutions featuring innovative tubular, self-wrapping sleeves and customized shielding made for abrasion, heat and noise management as well as safety enchancement.
