Ashok Leyland launches upgraded Ecomet Star ICV
The 11- to 16-tonne GVW intermediate CV has applications in e-commerce, parcel and courier, agri-perishables, poultry, white goods, FMCG, auto parts and reefer.
Ashok Leyland today launched the Ecomet Star upgraded with additional features in the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) segment.
The Ecomet Star will cater to the 11- to 16-tonne GVW ICV segment. According to the company, key product highlights are “higher fluid efficiency, better tyre life, longer service intervals and overall lower maintenance cost with enhanced Turnaround Time (TAT), thereby resulting in best-in-class Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for fleet owners.”
The Ecomet CV platform supports multiple applications such as e-commerce, parcel and courier, agri-perishables, poultry, white goods, FMCG, auto parts and reefer, among others.
The Ecomet Star is available in 11T, 12T, 14T and 16T GVW haulage segment and 5 and 6 cum tipper segment, and 12 feet to 24 feet in CBC, FSD, DSD and HSD load body options.
The ICV is powered by the company’s i-Gen6 technology 150hp engine which develops 450 Nm torque and comes mated to a six-speed overdrive gearbox and optimised gear ratios options to suit all haulage and tipper applications. The The Ecomet Star, which has a heavy duty rear axle, suspension, frame and other aggregates offering higher durability, comes bundled with digital solutions like i-Alert advanced telematics and remote diagnostics.
Ashok Leyland is offering the product with a four-year / 400,000km warranty and customers have over 3,000 touch-points for ease of access to sales and aftersales support, supported by 24x7 customer assistance and the company’s Service Mandi network.
