Ashok Leyland has bagged an order from GSRTC (Gujarat State Roadways Corporation) for 1,290 buses. This order comes close on the back of 2580 bus orders received from various state transport undertakings recently.
Speaking about the latest order, Vinod K Dasari, managing director, Ashok Leyland, said, “We are very happy to receive the confirmation of this order from GSRTC. Our ability to bring value, combined with our superior technology and innovation will help us maintain our leadership position in buses in India.”
Sanjay Saraswat, senior vice-president, Global Buses, Ashok Leyland, said. “With this order, our order book for State Transport Undertakings is upwards of 3,000 buses.
