Reverse Variable Transmissions (RVTs) are available with ratios from high overdrive (output 2.6 times faster than input) over standstill to reverse. The RVT can keep a vehicle at standstill on a slope, even with a shut-down engine, practical for start-stop-functionality.
For E-mobility, MAZARO’s SVT is most suitable, with variable ratios and a very high efficiency. It is called ‘Single stage’ because the SVT contains only one continuous variator (one set of 3 traction wheels), whereas the RVT contains two sets of 3 traction wheels).
