Advik Hi-Tech to set up new plant in Pune
With the groundbreaking for its ninth plant and its third in Pune, the Advik Group now comprises nine production facilities spread across India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
On December 12, Advik Hi-Tech, the global automotive component manufacturer, signalled the expansion of its global production network with the groundbreaking ceremony for its ninth plant and its third in Pune. With this addition, the Advik Group now comprises nine production facilities spread across India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
“Our new plant is an important part of our long-term growth strategy of building ahead-of-the-curve technologies and facilities. With stricter emission and safety norms, increased vehicle electrification and hybridisation becoming the new growth drivers, our new state-of-the-art plant will help us serve our customer better and stay ahead in the evolution of technology curve," said Aditya Bhartia, managing director, Advik Group of Companies.
The company is investing Rs 85 crore to build the new facility which will comprise manufacturing, assembling and testing facilities, creating more than 300 new jobs. The new plant, initially spanning 10,000 square metres, is expected to be operational by August 2019.
Advik Hi-Tech, the world leader in oil pumps for the two- and four-wheeler industries, also supplies water pumps, tensioners and CBS (Combined Braking System). Its clientele includes global OEMs like Bajaj Auto, Ducati Motor, Harley-Davidson, Hero MotoCorp, HMSI, Kawasaki, KTM, Lombardini, Suzuki Motorcycle, Yamaha, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Motori Minarelli, Piaggio Vehicles, PT Astra Honda Motor, Tata Motors, Force Motors and also ZF.
