Yamaha is showcasing the new TriCity 300 LMW (leaning multi-wheel) at the EICMA International Motorcycle Exhibition, which opens in Milan, Italy today.
LMW is a general term for a vehicle with three or more wheels which can lean (incline) like a motorcycle and is a technology that contributes to the balance between nimbleness and stability via a suspension and steering-mechanism that uses a parallelogram link.
The Yamaha TriCity 300 LMW is powered by a water-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder, 292cc Blue Core engine. Further, it is the first production motorcycle from Yamaha to feature a Tilt-lock Assist system to help the vehicle remain upright, adding a new layer of comfort and riding convenience.
In addition to the TriCity 300, Yamaha is also showcasing its automatic sports commuter TMAX560, which is slated to be launched in Japan next year, at EICMA. This model has been upgraded with a 562cc engine and a new design around the rear.
