Germany-based Vector, a leading provider in the testing sector has expanded its e-mobility testing solution to include the new CANoe test package EV. The company says this provides users with a toolchain for the automated conformance and interoperability testing of e-vehicles based on CANoe for the first time.
Vector is a leading manufacturer of software tools and embedded components for the development of electronic systems and their networking with many different systems from CAN to automotive Ethernet.
The company says effective immediately its new offering brings the possibility to perform conformance and interoperability testing for e-vehicles based on the DIN 70122, ISO 15118, and GB/T 34658 test specifications. The comprehensive test cases run automatically and are possible thanks to the CANoe Test Package EV. Vector says the test process is easy to perform and is supported by a powerful toolchain. Due to the included source files, the test cases are transparent and even modifiable using vTESTstudio, while CANoe handles the operation of the test hardware and automated test execution. This concept enables a continuous testing environment with maximum benefit and minimum effort for users.
The test cases of the CANoe Test Package EV are an important component of the Vector E-Mobility Testing Solution and can be used in all phases of development: from the software level with vVIRTUALtarget to the controller level using the VT System to the complete e-vehicle using a test system with an integrated power element. The comprehensive functionality of the tools provides full flexibility. In addition, thanks to the openness of CANoe, the existing test hardware can be reused by third parties, for example. This eliminates the need for additional investment. Using the test cases from the CANoe Test Package EV, users in the e-mobility sector are able to fully utilise the potential of the testing tools while sustainably increasing their product quality.
Vector says for the next step it plans to introduce CANoe Test Package EVSE for charging stations. This provides comparable test cases based on the same toolchain.
