Valeo is now a ‘Top Employer’ in France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, and in the UK. European certification was awarded to 24 organizations that meet the highest standards in human resources management.
With an ambitious strategic vision based on the reduction of CO2 emissions, innovation and geographical expansions in fast growing regions, Valeo says it has driven a 70 percent increase in revenue since 2009.
“Human Resources’ strategy is a key lever in the Group’s development,” said Michel Boulain, Group senior vice-president, Human Resources. “To support its growth, Valeo is pursuing an ambitious recruitment policy and plans to hire nearly 15,000 people in the next three years. More broadly, the Group’s Human Resources strategy is designed to be both global and local, adapted to the cultural differences in a corporate community that comprises 96 nationalities and 29 countries.”
Human Resources supports Valeo’s growth by recruiting and developing talent to strengthen the teams’ capabilities. Each year, at least 80 percent of the Group’s employees receive training and three out of four job openings are filled internally.
Top Employers 2014 certification recognises organizations that demonstrate best practices in human resources, particularly in the areas of attracting and developing talent, compensation and benefits, and training and skills development.
In addition, Valeo has been certified as one of the first Top Employers Asia Pacific 2014 in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India and in China, where Valeo received the certification for the third year in a row.
The Top Employer label is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, a specialised institute that identifies and certifies organisations that offer employees outstanding HR policies. Present in 12 countries, the Top Employers Institute has been identifying and certifying employers of choice for the past 20 years through its Top Employers label. More than 2,500 organisations have been certified by the institute as part of 135 international projects.
