As Indonesia's best performing exporter, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has received the Primaniyarta Award from the country's Ministry of Trade. The award was presented to Hiroyuki Fukui, president commissioner of TMMIN, by Muhammad Lutfi, Indonesia's minister of trade, during the opening Ceremony of Trade Expo Indonesia 2014.
Expressing his gratitude, Masahiro Nonami, president director of TMMIN, said, "This is the fifth time we have received the Primaniyarta Award, and we hope this award will spur us to further increase our export activity." Toyota also received the Primaniyarta Award in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2013, and remains the only car manufacturer to have received the award.
Between January and August, Toyota exported 27,800 completely knocked-down units (CKDs), a 15.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year. TMMIN’s component exports increased 4.1 percent to 41,551 million units, while engine assembly and engine components exports reached 33,988 units and 63,216 units respectively.

"Our biggest challenge further increasing export volume, which will enable us to participate even more in the development of Indonesia's automotive industry and the country's economy in general,” said TMMIN director I Made Dana Tangkas.
Currently, TMMIN's production facilities export around 7,400 units per month. In the near future, TMMIN is targeting an average shipment of 10,000 vehicles per month.
