In the months of April-December 2018, Toyota Motor Corporation sold 6,700,902 units globally. An increase of 22,623 units over 2017 figures of the same period. On a consolidated basis, net revenues for the period totaled 22.4755 trillion yen ($202.48 billion/ Rs 1,459,472 crore), an increase of 3.1 percent.

On a consolidated basis, net revenues for the period totaled 22.4755 trillion yen ($202.48 billion/ Rs 1,459,472 crore), an increase of 3.1 percent.
Toyota informs that the operating income increased from 1.7701 trillion yen ($15.94 billion/ Rs 115,324 crore) to 1.9379 trillion yen ($17.45 billion/ Rs Rs 125,763 crore). The 167.7 billion yen (Rs 10,927 crore) increase is majorly attributed to additional marketing efforts that led to an increase of 210.0 billion yen. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the net income decreased from 2.0131 trillion yen ($18.13 billion/ Rs 130,976 crore) to 1.4233 trillion yen ($12.82 billion/ Rs 92,501 crore).
Region-wise, in North America vehicle sales totaled 2,091,258 units, a decrease of 39,936 units. It sold a total of 1,595,464 units in Japan, a decrease of 44,076 units. In Europe, its sales totaled 724, 800 units, an increase of 18,908 units. Toyota sold 126,681 units more in Asia, which totaled at 1,274,858 units. In the rest of the world including Central and South America, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, vehicle sales totaled 1,014,522 units, a decrease of 38,954 units.
TMC has revised its consolidated vehicle sales forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019 from 8.9 million units to 8.95 million units, in consideration of the latest sales trends worldwide.
