Toyota Motor Corporation and Group companies Aisin Seiki Co and Denso Corporation are to make their first appearance at CeBIT 2017, the international digital technology trade fair organised by Deutsche Messe AG and held in Hannover, Germany, from March 20-24.
CeBIT 2017 is one of the world's largest international trade fairs for cutting-edge technologies in information and communications, including IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, and robotics. This year, Japan will participate as the partner country for the first time with the Japan Pavilion based on the concept of ‘Create a New World with Japan―Society 5.0, Another Perspective’.
In the pavilion, Toyota, Aisin Seiki and Denso will showcase personal mobility technologies that bring comfort to everyday living and help resolve social issues and robotics expected to be employed in manufacturing plants and homes of the future.
The three companies will also present their activities in the development of driving support systems that aim for zero casualties from traffic accidents and in automated driving technologies. The exhibition is planned to feature the technological efforts of each company, aimed at creating a society where everyone can live with a sense of excitement and security and to offer glimpses into the lifestyle of the future that will be transformed with digital technologies.
Toyota will present Ha:mo, the next-generation urban traffic system, as also the i-Road personal mobility exhibit (pictued above). It will also have an overview of its ITS Connect driving support system and evaluation of the accident reduction effect.
While Aisin Seiki will display the ILY-Ai personal mobility vehicle suggesting a direction for future lifestyles, Denso will showcase the latest sensing technology that can detect very slight changes veering from the norm in facilities and robots. The latest robotics that support factory IoT and technologies that can connect facilities and devices shown in an easy-to-understand way with demo models. There will be a compact articulated arm robot ‘Cobotta’ that can work together with humans (pictured below).
