Suzuki to showcase concept cars at Geneva
The Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concept cars will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concept cars will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Both models are already confirmed for production, with the iK-2 previewing a new B-segment hatchback, and the iM-4 offering a close look at a future rugged compact SUV.
The B-segment hatchback is expected to become a replacement for the current Suzuki Splash and Alto models, and is due to be sold from late 2016.
Suzuki says the concept has been developed with the theme of ‘harmonised force' and “raises compact car values to their limit.”
Plans for Suzuki’s new hatch – produced in the same mould as the Nissan Note – go as far back as 2013, with the new model forming part of the firm’s expansion plans. It’s expected to offer the space of the Splash with the economy of the smaller Alto.
The second new model, the iM-4 (shown below), is expected to compete in the same compact SUV territory as Ford’s EcoSport and the Vauxhall Mokka.

Described as “an iconic mini 4x4”, the iM-4 will come with “distinctive styling that will give real inspiration to drivers.”
