SKF retains listing in Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

For the 15th year in a row, SKF has been listed as one of the world’s most sustainable companies by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI). In particular, the company has once more been recognized as best-in-class within both environmental reporting and environmental management.
“Fifteen years after first being included in the DJSI, I am incredibly proud to see that the hard work and commitment to sustainability that is exhibited by our people across the world continues to be recognized,” says Tom Johnstone, SKF president and CEO.
SKF defines sustainability as SKF Care, which encompasses business care, environmental care, employee care and community Care.  SKF BeyondZero is SKF’s strategy to create a positive impact on the environment. It consists of two simultaneous approaches: to reduce the environmental impact resulting from SKF’s operations, and to provide customers with innovative technologies, products and solutions that offer improved environmental performance.

SKF says it works to improve economic, environmental and social performance over the full value chain. A good example is the Group's climate strategy, which includes suppliers, SKF operations, transportation, distribution and customer solutions. This strategy and approach has been recognized by WWF through the nomination of SKF as a WWF Climate Saver.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes were launched in 1999 and are the longest-running and most prestigious global sustainability benchmarks worldwide.
