Schaeffler receives Aisin AW’s quality award

German component supplier Schaeffler has received the ‘Project Contribution Award’ from Aisin AW.

Schaeffler supplies double turbine dampers with centrifugal pendulum-type absorber for the new Aisin AW 8-speed transmission and received the award for outstanding collaboration and support during the volume production startup of the transmission in Japan.

“Our team is incredibly proud of this award,” said Dr Peter Bührle, president of Schaeffler’s Transmission Technologies business unit, who accepted the award from Shigeo Tsuzuki, deputy chief officer (Purchasing Division), Aisin AW Co in Bühl. “We regard this as a gesture of enormous appreciation and as proof of our excellent technological and manufacturing expertise,” said Dr Bührle.
