The press shop produces 40 different pressed parts such as side members and the tunnel bridge for the new Audi A4.
So far this year, Audi has produced 1.38 million standard parts in the chassis component production facility.
Production is being ramped up rapidly on the ultramodern machinery of the aluminium die-casting foundry.
The new production site in Münchsmünster is 30km east of Audi’s main production facility in Ingolstadt.
Over 30,000 structural components have already been produced in 2015 in the aluminium die-casting foundry.
The foundry’s total volume should reach approximately 200,000 parts by the end of the year.

By 2017, a total of 900 employees will be working at the site and shipping out 26 million parts worldwide annually.
