Porsche first European OEM to use full electric 40-tonners for logistics

The pilot eJIT project is testing the use of electric trucks under real conditions in multi-shift operation at automotive plants, with an aim to reduce noise and emissions.

This week saw the launch of the eJIT project at Porsche Leipzig. The pilot study involves testing a truck with a purely electric drive in the company’s logistics network, which makes Porsche the first automotive manufacturer in Europe to use fully electric 40-tonne trucks that are suitable for motorway driving.
