Nissan resumes production and deliveries in Japan

Japan’s MLIT had conducted onsite inspections at Nissan plants and discovered inconsistencies between documentation submitted to it and the standard operating manuals for the plants. Nissan has subsequently made corrections.

Following the discovery of issues in the final inspection process for vehicles produced for the Japan market, and recurrence at the six Japanese production plants of Nissan and its affiliate Nissan Shatai, Nissan says it has taken preventive measures aimed to ensure final vehicle inspection conforms with Japanese regulations.
