Hyundai to invest $290 million in Alabama plant for fifth-gen Santa Fe and crossovers

While $190 million will go towards preparing the assembly plant for the new fifth-gen Sante Fe, $100 million is to support production of the Tucson and Santa Cruz SUVs.

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) is investing $290 million to enhance production of Hyundai’s popular sport utility vehicles. HMMA has designated $190 million dollars of this investment for tooling and equipment upgrades to prepare for production of the all-new fifth-generation Santa Fe.
