The Canoo skateboard completely independent from the cabin, enables vehicles to share the same skateboard, providing a large SUV space atop a compact car footprint.
Canoo’s climate system is directly incorporated into the skateboard which leads to a more optimal usage of space.
For both front and rear suspension, Canoo utilises composite transverse leaf springs that provides a flatter skateboard and increases passenger space.
Batteries are integrated directly into the skateboard increasing torsional rigidity and package efficiency.

The companies will jointly develop an all-electric platform based on Canoo’s fully scalable, proprietary skateboard design for upcoming Hyundai and Kia EVs and PBVs.
