Japanese automotive giant Honda Motor has announced that it will showcase new versions of the NC750X and 400X tourer motorcycles at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015, which will kick off next week.
Honda has developed the new NC750X and 400X, according to its “crossover concept” and upgrades include improved chassis and engine performance as well as creature comforts and modernised styling.
The updates included will make the NC750X much more adaptable to changing conditions, thanks to the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) which will provide three modes rather than the current choice of just sport or standard.
Other updates implemented on the motorcycle by Honda include new LED tail and head lamps, a redesigned muffler to aid in mass centralisation, an improvement in exhaust tone, and the rear shock with a spring preload adjustment as well. Finally, the suspension is getting a new valve in order to create more linear compression and rebound damping, the windscreeen is 2.75 inches taller, and storage capacity has been increased to 22 litres from 21 litres earlier.
Following the debut, the bike will be available both in Japan and Europe. In the United States, however, it would be sold as the NC700X.
The new 400X would also come equipped with LED head- and tail-lights and a 100mm taller windscreen than the previous model. Other changes include a new front suspension equipped with preload adjusters and a re-designed gear-shift mechanism.
Honda plans to launch the reinvigorated 400X in Japan, and in Europe, and in North America and Asia as the CB500X.
