Detourbet was also responsible for getting Indian component suppliers to think out of the box to develop innovative and cost-efficient parts for the Renault Kwid.
Detourbet told Autocar Professional that he wasn't really a fan of cars but he was doing his job "because it is a pleasure for me as it is a complex thing to produce a car."
