Denso plans ‘green’ display at 2015 CES in Las Vegas

Global automotive supplier Denso will exhibit at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, from January 6- 9, showcasing innovative solutions that will make life safer, greener and easier.

The company will exhibit systems that are achieved through a combination of sensing and Human Machine Interface (HMI) technologies, driving the need for connecting as safely as possible to car or home while driving. Some of those technologies, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology will be demonstrated on two vehicles and phones inside Denso's exhibit. Also, an advanced driving support system, which offers the driver information without distractions, will be showcased.

Denso says it has developed fuel saving technologies for automobiles but is also considering energy management for society at large, not just automobiles. Therefore, it plans to exhibit solutions on energy management (Home Energy Management System) using light electric vehicles, which can be used as an energy supply in times of emergency.

The company is applying its automotive technology expertise to other products that can provide a better quality of life for people around the world, such as ProFarm Agricultural System, which is used in greenhouses to improve growing conditions for fresh vegetables and fruit and a Health Monitoring System, which collects medical and health-related information and checks and monitors the user's physical condition.

To preserve the environment and create a society that is safe and secure, Denso says it is applying its technologies and know-how gained from years in the automotive business.

Denso Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi prefecture, Japan, is a leading global automotive supplier of advanced technology, systems and components in the areas of thermal, powertrain control, electronics and information and safety. Its customers include all the world's major carmakers. Worldwide, the company has more than 200 subsidiaries and affiliates in 38 countries and regions (including Japan) and employs nearly 140,000 people. Consolidated global sales for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014, totaled US$39.8 billion.
