Dana to supply driveline components for Hino XL7, XL8 trucks

The trucks feature Dana Spicer D- and E-Series steer axles, SPL 140 and 170 driveshafts, and Spicer single and tandem drive axles, including the AdvanTEK 40.

Dana is to be the exclusive driveline supplier for the Hino XL7 and XL8 Class 7 and 8 commercial vehicles. The trucks feature Dana Spicer D- and E-Series steer axles, SPL 140 and 170 driveshafts, and several models of Spicer single and tandem drive axles, including the AdvanTEK 40, newly released S172 heavy-duty single drive axle, and D46-172 heavy-duty tandem axles. 

Dana's products are designed to provide maximum reliability, efficiency, durability, and maneuverability for the heavy-duty commercial truck segment. The XL series of trucks from Hino add new advantages and capabilities to Hino's product line with a focus on reliability, durability, and owner experience.

Hino will begin production of the trucks in early 2019 at its facility in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.
