All new Buick to make China debut next week
The 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir is set to mark its China debut at Auto Guangzhou 2017 next week.Buick has sold over 9 million vehicles in China since its introduction under the SAIC-GM brand in 1998.
The 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir is set to mark its China debut at Auto Guangzhou 2017 next week, this is followed by its global debut in the United States.
Buick has sold over 9 million vehicles in China since its introduction under the SAIC-GM brand in 1998. The company had first introduced the all-new Buick GL8 last year in China.
“Customers are signaling they want more from Buick. With even more content and an elegant look, Avenir adds a unique name and appearance for those who want the best of our attainable luxury.” said Duncan Aldred, VP, Global Buick and GMC.
Bob Boniface, global director, Buick Exterior Design, said: “Exterior styling is very important to LaCrosse buyers, and its sculpted beauty withstands passing trends. For Avenir, we focused on maintaining the timelessness of the LaCrosse, while giving these customers subtle and tasteful details that elevate this car to a new level.”
The interiors boast of exclusive details that include a Chestnut interior color theme, embroidered first-row headrests and Avenir-scripted sill plates.
It says features available on other LaCrosse models come standard on the Avenir, including a powerful 310-hp V-6 engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, navigation and Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium audio, and a panoramic moon-roof. Additionally buyers can opt for additional features –Ebony interior, Intelligent Twin-Clutch all-wheel drive, the Dynamic Drive Package featuring continuous variable real-time dampening control and a suite of advanced safety features.
