Made-in-India Baleno to go on sale in the UK from June
Recently, the Baleno also became the first car to receive Euro NCAP’s dual car ratings and scored well on crash safety with a 3-star rating for the standard variant and a 4-star rating for the variant with active safety features.
After being launched in other prominent European car markets like Belgium, Spain and Germany, the India-made Suzuki Baleno will now be available in the UK from June.
The hatchback will be available in four variants with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre Boosterjet and a 1.2-litre DualJet. The 998cc Boosterjet engine, which is all set to debut on the Baleno RS in India later this year, develops a useful 111hp, while the new 1,242cc DualJet, a dual-injection engine, develops 90hp. The 1.2-litre engine also comes with an optional SHVS variant.
The Baleno for UK will be priced from £12,999 - £13,499 (Rs 12.80 lakh- Rs 13.80 lakh) and will come equipped with six airbags, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and air conditioning fitted as standard on all models. Active safety features such as Radar Brake Support (RBS) and Adaptive Cruise Control will also be available on the higher trims.

The Baleno, which is a global Suzuki model solely manufactured in India, has already a provided a fillip to Maruti Suzuki India’s export numbers and has also become the company’s most exported car in the last few months.
