Sona Comstar is the biggest supplier of differential bevel gears in the world by volume, and that only Toyota and Volkswagen are its key rivals as both OEMs produce their gears in-house.
Sona Comstar resumed operations at four plants in Haryana on May 4. On May 8, the starter motor plant in Chennai opened but the Pune plant remains shut. While its China plant in Shanghai is operational, the Mexican and US plants remain closed. The facility in Germany did not close at all.
