A couple of cars get the scrappage treatment at the CERO plant in Greater Noida. Scrapping of old vehicles leads to recovery of many metals, especially steel which makes up 65-70 percent of a vehicle. Organised steel recovery will significantly reduce India's dependence on imported steel scrap.
