Tata, Toyota and VW buck industry decline in car and sedan sales in H1 FY2024

Even as PV sales crossed the 2-million mark for the first time in the first-half of a fiscal, demand for cars and sedans fell by 8%, impacted by the consumer surge for SUVs, whose share has grown to an all-time high of 57 percent. Three carmakers though bucked the decline and increased their market share.
