Monsoon fury impacts August retails: 1.89 million units up 3% but down 7% on July

Excess rainfall hits India Auto Inc’s sales which saw modest growth. While two- and three-wheeler demand stayed up, passenger vehicle sales have dropped by 4.53% with FADA red-flagging high inventory levels of 780,000 vehicles valued at Rs 77,800 crore. The CV segment continues to struggle amid multiple challenges and tractor OEMs see retails down sharply by 11 percent.
