India auto sales rise 12% to 23.85 million in FY2024, PVs shine, CVs and 3Ws near best-yet FY2019

Four years after the pandemic, India's automobile industry has bounced back. FY2024’s wholesales at 23.85 million units are up 12%, driven by the passenger vehicle segment's best-ever 4.21 million units. While three-wheelers and CVs are close to their record FY2019 sales, two-wheeler dispatches are still 3 million units away from their FY2019 score.
