India Auto Inc’s August retails up 9% at 1.81 million vehicles, growth comes to all segments

In a show of resilience, the Indian automobile industry has seen good growth in August 2023. While two-wheelers saw a 6% uptick, three-wheelers notched 66% with every second unit being an EV; PV sales are up 6.5% YoY and CVs by 3%; tractor sales rose 14%. FADA remains cautiously optimistic about future growth in view of the suboptimal rainfall which could potentially affect the forthcoming festive season.
