Cumulatively, the Creta’s domestic and export sales numbers add up to 992,504 units till end-May 2022, just 7,496 units shy of the cumulative one-million-units milestone, which would have been surpassed in June 2022.
The Creta is the midsize SUV few can ignore. And demand in this segment is now rising smartly.
From FY2016 through to end-May 2022, Hyundai has sold 10,84,307 UVs in India. Of this, the Creta accounts for 735,996 units or 67.87 percent of the carmaker’s total UV sales.
In April this year, the Creta scored a 3-star Global NCAP safety rating for both adult and child protection. The SUV’s body shell integrity was rated as ‘unstable'.
Three out of every five Cretas sold in India have a sunroof, which is now a critical feature across Hyundai’s current model range.
