Electric car and SUV retail sales in August lowest in past eight months: 6,335 units

Mirroring the overall trend in the passenger vehicle market, retail demand for electric vehicles fell by 10% in August. Tata Motors with 4,085 units saw a YoY decline of 14% YoY and had a 64% market share; cumulative January-August sales at 62,931 units are up 18%; sales of luxury EVs dropped 14% to 155 units.
