Electric car and SUV OEMs sell over 7,500 units in July, 56,000 EVs in first 7 months of 2024

Retail sales of electric passenger vehicles in July 2024 were down 3%, up 4% on June and an increase of 21% YoY in the January-July period. While market leader Tata Motors, with 4,752 EVs, saw its market share decline to 63% from the 70% it had a year ago, MG Motor India’s share has risen to 20%. Luxury EV makers saw a 14% decline in July.
